Megamentin 1000 is a penicillin-type antibiotic produced by Intas Pharmaceuticals. This product is a combination of two medicines: Amoxicillin which is an antibiotic and Potassium Clavulanate which is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, sinus, throat, lung, urinary tract, skin, teeth, joints and bones. It will not work for viral infections such as the common cold. It is commonly used to treat the skin condition called acne which is caused by bacteria.
